Well, its official, our new CD "Scale Worthy" will be recorded around April 2009 at Roscoe (Eric) Amble's studio. He's a pretty high end guy, works with the pro’s like Marshall Crenshaw, Nils Lofgren, Ryan Adams, the list goes on and on. He's a member of the Yayhoo's Band with ex-Georgia Satellites Singer Dan Baird. This will be one killer of a recording and we cant wait to play the new material for you folks.

08-02-08 MCP Band CD Review Whisperin and Hollerin Review
http://whisperinandhollerin.com/reviews/review.asp?id=5698
Our Rating: 8 out of 10 stars author: Adam Harrington The MCP Band (http://www.mcpband.com) embody everything that an American bar band is supposed to be. Drunk on its own alcohol-fueled, blues-soaked rock, the MCP Band delivers authentic blue-collar grit with no studio slickness or limp ballads to water down the dirt. In other words, this is heady biker music with no compromises.
Unlike many of the roots and Americana acts out there, the MCP Band knows that the real deal should rock like hell. "Borrowed Time" scorches the walls with mean, bluesy riffs and raspy vocals; however, true to the group's classic-rock leanings, the track is melodic, wonderfully catchy. Even more gnarly is "Poor Tomorrow," packing heat with throbbing bass lines and driving guitars. "Breathing Life" is raw electric blues; you can imagine the smoke coming out of the amps. The MCP Band must be a potent live creature because this CD definitely has an exhilarating live vibe to it; listening to it, it feels like you're only inches away from the lads, soaking in all the feedback. The MCP Band have energy to burn, and this record is relentless in its quick pacing. Beginning with the rollicking boogie piano of "Particular Condition" to the heavy chunks of shrapnel on "You're the One," the MCP Band just keep moving, and we're partying along with them.

The MCP provide entry way into an ‘adventurous way of life’

The MCP Band/Above the Waterline
The MCP Band is a natural, capturing an adventurous view of life, the band and keeps their audience listening. In the song titled “Won’t Let Go,” the inviting guitar solo opens the door for many to dive into a wine of rock and blues. One may find him or herself swaying back and forth, kicking up their old town boots to dance the night away with MCP’s “E Funk.” In the song titled “Centerville,” it is apparent that MCP’s raw talent is uniquely clever: “In a refuge we call sleep…it seems that we were solid.” What a wonderful way to start the weekend filled adventure; surely listen to the MCP Band’s righteous tunes.
